LEFT-LEANING HYPERBOLE

Hyperbole is a figure of speech involving deliberate exaggeration. It is commonly used in everyday language, especially in political discourse, to amplify emotions, rally support, or discredit opponents.

Left-leaning hyperbole, in the USA, refers to the use of exaggerated, emotionally charged rhetoric by political liberals and left-wing advocates to describe conservative policies or opponents, often framing policy disagreements as existential threats to democracy, pluralism, or individual rights. Other terms such as “tyranny,” “dictatorship,” “genocide,” “transphobic extremism,” and “final solution” are frequently applied to conservative actions or figures to mobilize the political base, even when such terms are not factually accurate.
